How current is the data?
The dashboard fetches the latest published rates each time it loads. Public feeds typically update daily for FX reference rates; they are meant for reference, not for executing trades.
What is the difference between spot price and the price at my local dealer?
The spot price is the global wholesale benchmark. Local dealers add premiums for fabrication, transport, and margin — physical gold typically sells 2–8% above spot, more for small denominations.
Can I use these rates for invoicing or accounting?
For informal reference, yes. For contracts, invoices, and tax filings, use the official rate source required in your jurisdiction (usually the central bank’s published rate for the relevant date).
